This quilt, 74″x86″, is made from 14 block of the month blocks, a central appliqued medallion and an appliqued border. The appliques are outline stitched. In the medallion, there are hidden flowers quilted into the arrangement. The background is quilted with small swirls. To offset the medallion, the corners are quilted with curved cross-hatching. The border around the medallion has ditch stitching, and is decoratively stitched with swirls and flowers. The 12″ blocks that surround the medallion are all quilted in a larger swirl and curly feather all-over pattern and in a common aqua thread. The sashings between the blocks are done in a swirl & feather pattern. The 8″ wide royal outer border has twirly-whirly feathering quilted. The portion of the outer border where the appliques are has feathers quilted in and around the appliques. Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting is used, with Superior SoFine threads.
