Typically, pantograph patterns are quilted from edge-to-edge across the quilt.    The ones shown below are commercial paper patterns, quilted from the backside of the longarm.  Prices listed are in $ per square inch of quilt. Pantographs create a repeatable texture across the entire quilt. They are often considered an excellent economical choice or a good option when the piecing and/or fabrics are so dominant that custom quilting might not show well.

To determine your quilting cost, multiply  the length of the quilt by the width of the quilt (in inches), and multiply it by the amount listed by your desired pattern.
