Started in 2012, this quilt is all batiks. I decided to finish it in 2016, rather than leave it in a box forever. It is a broken carpenter’s star with original applique setting blocks of butterflies and water lilies. Quilting features dragonflies, as this quilt initially reminded me of colors you might find in a swamp. It is finished with a double-piped scalloped binding and some carefully-placed crystals.
