The quilted shape measures 4.75&#8243; x 7.75&#8243;. The template has 3 curves &#8212; two for quilting the base ornament shape and a third that is used to stitch a 1\/4&#8243; echo (if desired) within this shape. The template is extremely simple to use, and only needs a marked straight line. Template edges and etched lines easily position using the marked line. The template itself is approximately 4-1\/2&#8243; x 7&#8243;.<\/p>\n<p>Many will probably wonder why this template does not resemble the shape for which it was designed. The reason is simple. To quilt around &#8220;stair-stepped&#8221; edges of a template is extremely difficult. Controlling the hopping foot to stitch a corner with crisp points isn&#8217;t easy. My design allows quilters to quilt the individual units of this shape using the most stable manner, using template edges and etched guide lines for accurate and repeatable positioning.\u00a0Scroll
