Made from 25 all-different, fussy-cut and hand-pieced elongated hexagon blocks. This is modeled after the Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses design, but scaled smaller. These blocks are set in a unique setting of champagne-colored Kaufman silk Radiance fabric, and other green cottons. Ribbons are hand appliqued to the border from hand-dyed silks in shades of green that coordinate with the blocks. The quilting is stitched with Filtec Glide and YLI silk. All designs are original and hand-guided. There is extensive ruler -work. The quilt is bound with a piped and scalloped edge. This quilt represents over 800 hours of work.
On June 17th, 2015 Bouquet Royale earned a Masterpiece Quilt Award from the National Quilt Association.
