Custom quilting is any type of quilting that is NOT considered Edge-to-Edge. It can range between simple quilting with unique borders to dense heirloom quilting.

Custom quilting requests are taken and priced individually.   Costs are based on the size and complexity of the quilt. These quilts are billed on an hourly basis because even identical quilts can be quilted significantly different.  Prices often range from approximately $0.075 to 0.16 per sq.in.  Please note that while “ballpark +/-” estimates may be given, the final bill is driven by the hours required for the quilt, and is not accurately known until the job is completed. Custom quilts typically require many different motifs, template work, stitch in the ditch, thread changes, stops and starts, and pattern marking — just to name a few. I have been custom quilting for ten years, and have extensive experience with both heavily appliqued as well as intricately pieced quilts. I would love to help you turn your quilt top into a treasured quilt.

The following links contain pictures of select custom quilts, both those of some of my clients as well as my own.  Every quilt is unique, and I’d love to get to customize your’s.  When you contact me, be prepared to email a photo and the dimensions of the quilt.  I will follow-up with other questions to best customize the quilting to meet your needs and budget.
